Neil qualified with BSE in Environmental Planning and has been practising in the private sector for nearly 30 years.
He started in Local government and then joined a national practice. He has acted for major house builders, small companies, clubs and private individuals, solving planning problems and bringing forward development. His experience of house building allows knowledge of project management and specification detail.
He moved from being a Director in a major planning practice in order to give a personal and friendly service that he felt was being lost in the corporate structure. He has maintained his practice as a sole practitioner. He is competitive and feisty when putting his case to local authorities. His applications contain great detail and he believes in a quality service at a reasonable prices.
As a mad keen sports enthusiast and former international hockey player, he was approached by Reading Hockey Club in 1990 for advice on their first Water Based Astroturf pitch and floodlighting.
After winning an appeal on the floodlights, the word spread and he has now become a leading consultant in the artificial sports planning industry. Being well known in the hockey world he has a notable list of hockey clubs and schools to his name. He has become increasingly involved in football and rugby as well as tennis.
